Tuition Fee Waiver (TFWS) 5% Supernumerary seats per branch in AICTE-approved institutions for family income < ₹8.00 Lakhs. 100% Tuition Fee exempted; student only pays institute caution money and development charges.
Official Counselling Portal Official Centralized REAP Admission Portal Candidates must rely strictly on official notifications issued by CEG Jaipur.
Golden Rule of REAP Choice Allocation

The REAP seat allocation software evaluates candidate preferences sequentially from Choice #1 down to your last choice. The moment an eligible vacant seat matches your merit rank and category quota, that seat is provisionally allotted, and all lower preferences (Choice #X+1 onwards) are discarded for that round.

Advice: Always list colleges and branches in the strict order of your genuine desire. Never place a lower-ranked or less-preferred college above your dream choice merely because you think your rank is safe for it!

REAP Upward Movement — Zero-Risk Seat Upgradation

Understand the mathematical guarantee of REAP's Upward Movement. Try our interactive visual simulator to see how your choices are evaluated without risking your confirmed seat.

How the Upward Movement Algorithm Protects You

Suppose you submitted 25 college-branch choices and in Round 2, you were allotted Choice #12: MBM Jodhpur Electrical Engineering.

Choices #1 to #11 (Active) The software evaluates strictly Choices #1 to #11. If a seat in any of these 11 becomes vacant due to higher-rank movement, you are automatically upgraded!
Choice #12 (100% Reserved) If none of Choices #1 to #11 have an opening, your Choice #12 remains 100% yours. You CANNOT lose your existing seat!
Choices #13 to #25 (Eliminated) The algorithm will NEVER demote you to Choice #13 or below. Downward movement is mathematically impossible in REAP.

Strategic Choice Filling Guide for REAP 2027

How to arrange your college and branch preferences to maximize your admission chances without regretting your allotment.

1. Strict Descending Preference

Always list branches in decreasing order of your personal desire. Never put a lower-ranked college above a top college simply because you believe your rank is sufficient. The algorithm stops at the first match!

2. GAS vs SFS Seat Ordering

Government colleges offer both GAS (Govt Aided - ₹15k–30k/yr) and SFS (Self Financed - ₹60k–85k/yr) seats. Place GAS seats above SFS seats for the same branch to save tuition fees.

3. Fill Maximum Choices

REAP has zero limit on choices. Add at least 40 to 80 choices spanning dream colleges, realistic targets, and safe fallback institutions. Leaving choices blank risks total non-allotment.

4. TFWS Choices Placement

If eligible for Tuition Fee Waiver (annual family income < ₹8 Lakhs), add TFWS seat codes for top branches at the very top of your preference list before regular GAS and SFS seats.

5. Saving vs Locking Choices

Keep saving your choices regularly. If you do not manually lock your choices before the deadline, the REAP portal automatically locks your last saved preferences at the deadline cutoff time.

6. Institute Tier Hierarchy

Standard proven preference hierarchy in Rajasthan: MBM Jodhpur > CTAE Udaipur > RTU Kota (UD) > GEC Bikaner > GEC Ajmer > GWECA Ajmer (Women) > GEC Bharatpur.

Recommended Standard REAP Choice Order (Top Tiers)

This standard priority sequence is utilized by top percentile candidates in Rajasthan to balance branch quality and institute prestige:

Frequently Asked Questions on REAP 2027 Counselling

Clear, definitive answers to real questions asked by engineering aspirants and parents regarding the REAP counselling process.

Upward Movement is completely optional. If you are satisfied with the seat you have been allotted in Round 1 or Round 2, you can freeze your seat by paying the full college fees and not opting for Upward Movement on the portal. Only candidates seeking a higher-preference choice need to apply for Upward Movement.

If no vacant seat is available in your higher choices (Choices #1 to #X-1), the system simply leaves your status unchanged. Your existing confirmed seat remains 100% intact and reserved for you. There is zero risk of losing your seat by participating in Upward Movement.

No. Once you are upgraded to a higher-preference choice in Upward Movement, your previous seat is automatically and instantly forfeited and allotted to another candidate down the merit list. You cannot reclaim your old seat. Therefore, you must ensure that every choice placed above your current allotment is genuinely more desirable.

Yes, absolutely. Candidates who were not allotted any seat in Round 1 automatically advance to Round 2 without any fresh fee or re-registration. The system evaluates your existing locked choices against the 85% Rajasthan state domicile quota in Round 2.

Upward Movement is conducted centralized online by CEG Jaipur across ALL colleges and branches in your choice list. Internal Sliding is conducted locally at your physical college campus among already admitted students to reshuffle branches strictly WITHIN that same college campus.

Seats are filled strictly in merit priority order: Priority 1 (JEE Main) gets first preference, followed by Priority 2 (Class 12th PCM %). For highly sought-after branches like CSE and IT at MBM Jodhpur and CTAE Udaipur, seats are almost completely consumed by Priority 1 candidates. However, core branches (Civil, Mining, Production, Chemical) in government colleges and all branches in newer GECs often have seats available for Priority 2 candidates.

As per AICTE and DTE Rajasthan guidelines, if a candidate submits a formal withdrawal request before the official cutoff date of admissions, the institution must refund the tuition fee after deducting a maximum processing fee of ₹1,000/-. Original certificates must also be returned immediately without withholding.

Candidates applying for TFWS must submit an official Income Certificate in the prescribed REAP proforma issued and verified by an Executive Magistrate or Tehsildar, proving that the total annual gross income of both parents from all sources is less than ₹8.00 Lakhs during the preceding financial year.

Once choices are manually locked or auto-locked at the closing deadline, they cannot be modified, added, or deleted for subsequent rounds. Upward Movement evaluates the exact choices you originally locked in their original preference order.

After centralized counselling ends, each participating college publishes its vacant seat matrix. Interested candidates must appear in person at the respective college campus with original documents and college tuition fees. Seats are allotted on the spot according to JEE Main CRL / 12th PCM merit among candidates present in the hall.
