The 3-Tier REAP Merit Priority System

How CEG Rajasthan ranks candidates and allocates engineering seats. Candidates in higher priority tiers are allotted seats first, regardless of the board percentage of lower-tier applicants.

Priority 1 (Highest)

JEE Main 2027 All India Rank (AIR / CRL)

Candidates possessing a valid All India Common Rank List (CRL) rank in JEE Main 2027 Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

  • 100% of seats in Round 1 (OR quota) allotted via P1
  • Round 2 allocates Rajasthan seats first to P1 candidates
  • Gets top college branches (MBM, CTAE, RTU CSE/IT)
  • Tie-breaking: NTA Math > Physics > Chemistry > Age
Priority 2 (Intermediate)

Class 12th Board Science (PCM) Percentile

Candidates who have not appeared for JEE Main 2027 or did not qualify, evaluated strictly on their Class 12th Board Science (PCM) percentile.

  • Allotted after exhausting Priority 1 applicants
  • Uses board-normalized percentile (RBSE / CBSE / ICSE)
  • High board percentile (90%+) secures Govt. college core seats
  • Tie-breaking: Math marks > Physics > Chem > Age
Priority 3 (Diploma)

Diploma in Engineering & Technology Percentage

Candidates who have completed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering from BTER or AICTE-approved polytechnic institutions applying for 1st-year engineering seats.

  • Allotted seats after Priority 1 and Priority 2 pools
  • Merit determined by final aggregate diploma percentage
  • Direct admission to 1st year (B.Tech)
  • For 2nd-year lateral entry, candidates apply via LEEP

Official REAP 2027 Tie-Breaking Protocol

When two or more candidates obtain identical scores, CEG resolves the tie using the following sequential hierarchy:

In Case of JEE Main Score Tie:
  1. Higher NTA score in Mathematics
  2. Higher NTA score in Physics
  3. Higher NTA score in Chemistry
  4. Candidate older in age (earlier Date of Birth)
In Case of 12th Board Percentile Tie:
  1. Higher absolute marks in Mathematics
  2. Higher absolute marks in Physics
  3. Higher absolute marks in Chemistry / Optional
  4. Candidate older in age (earlier Date of Birth)

Rajasthan Domicile (85%) vs. Outside Rajasthan (15%)

Understand the exact domicile criteria defining state quota eligibility, reservation benefits, and certificate issuing rules in Rajasthan.

Rajasthan State Quota (85%)

Home State

85% of sanctioned seats across all Government Engineering Colleges (GECs), University Departments (RTU Kota, MBM Jodhpur, CTAE Udaipur), and Private Colleges are reserved for bonafide residents of Rajasthan.

Eligible Domicile Categories:
  • Category A: Candidate is a continuous resident of Rajasthan for at least 10 years, or born in Rajasthan with parent domicile.
  • Category B: Children of serving / retired employees of Government of Rajasthan, State PSUs, Boards, or Universities.
  • Category C: Children of Central Govt. / Defence / Paramilitary personnel posted in Rajasthan or originating from Rajasthan.
Eligible for all caste reservations (SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS) and TFWS fee waiver.

Outside Rajasthan Quota (15%)

All India Seats

15% of seats in all engineering institutions are earmarked for candidates who do not possess Rajasthan state domicile certificate. These candidates participate under the Outside Rajasthan (OR) category.

Key Operational Conditions:
  • Admissions exclusively via Round 1: Allocated solely on the basis of JEE Main 2027 All India Rank (CRL).
  • Treated as General / Unreserved: No caste, tribe, or EWS concessions from home states are applicable in Rajasthan.
  • Ineligible for TFWS: Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme is strictly reserved for Rajasthan domicile applicants.
  • Equal Tuition Fee: College tuition fees are identical for Rajasthan and Outside Rajasthan students.
Outside Rajasthan candidates who miss Round 1 can participate directly in college-level Spot Rounds.
Feature / Parameter Rajasthan Domicile (85% Quota) Outside Rajasthan (15% Quota)
Seat Allocation Round Round 2 (State Merit Allotment) & Upward Movement Round 1 (Exclusive Outside Rajasthan Allotment)

Crucial Warning on Creamy Layer Certificates

Candidates belonging to OBC or MBC categories whose parental income exceeds ₹8,00,000 are classified under the Creamy Layer. Creamy layer candidates are NOT eligible for reservation and must apply strictly under the General / Open category. Submitting an expired or invalid OBC-NCL certificate will result in immediate conversion to General category during document verification.

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) Explained

Save ₹70,000 to ₹1,20,000 per year throughout all 4 years of engineering. Learn who qualifies for 5% supernumerary TFWS seats and how to apply.

REAP 2027 Eligibility — Frequently Asked Questions

Authoritative, verified answers addressing common candidate queries regarding qualification thresholds, board boards, certificates, and admission regulations.

For B.Tech / B.E. admission, General / Unreserved category candidates must obtain at least 45.00% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and one optional subject. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-NCL, MBC-NCL, EWS, and PwD categories of Rajasthan Domicile receive a 5% relaxation and must score at least 40.00% aggregate. Outside Rajasthan candidates are evaluated at 45.00% regardless of caste.

No. In accordance with strict AICTE and CEG Rajasthan directives, fractional marks are never rounded off. A score of 44.9% or 39.9% is strictly non-compliant and will result in application rejection during document verification.

No, JEE Main is NOT mandatory. Candidates who did not appear in JEE Main 2027 can apply under Priority 2 on the basis of their Class 12th Board Science (PCM) percentile, or Priority 3 on the basis of Diploma marks. However, candidates with a valid JEE Main CRL rank receive Priority 1 and are allotted seats first.

Yes. Any candidate who has passed Class 12th from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), CBSE, CISCE, or any State Education Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or Ministry of Education is fully eligible for REAP 2027.

REAP offers admission to the 1st year (1st semester) of 4-year B.Tech / B.E. programs (Priority 3). In contrast, LEEP (Lateral Entry in Engineering Program) is a separate centralized counselling process specifically offering direct admission into the 2nd year (3rd semester) for diploma and B.Sc. degree holders.

An OBC-NCL or MBC-NCL certificate is valid for 1 year from the date of issue. However, if the certificate was issued within the last 3 years, it can remain valid provided the candidate submits a notarized Non-Creamy Layer declaration affidavit in the prescribed Form-E attesting that their creamy layer status has not changed.

No. Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) and caste reservations (SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS) are strictly restricted to candidates possessing a valid Rajasthan state Bonafide / Domicile certificate. Outside Rajasthan candidates are treated as General / Unreserved category.

Candidates appearing in improvement or supplementary exams in 2027 must possess a valid passing mark sheet with minimum required aggregate marks at the time of online choice locking and physical reporting. If the passing mark sheet is unavailable during physical verification, the allotment will be cancelled.
